When you buy cheap property in Bulgaria
In order not to be disappointed with your real estate purchase it is important to have realistic expectations when you buy cheap property in Bulgaria.
1. Don’t expect to pay under 10 000 Euro for your property and to find it in mint condition. There will be always something to be fixed, some cosmetic work and in some cases when the property is really cheap some major renovations.
2. In most of the cases Bulgarian rural houses don’t have inner bathroom and toilet installed. This is something normal and it is very easy and not so expensive our building team to install one for you.
3. Almost every rural house in Bulgaria has main running water (coming from pipes) often the property comes with water well in the garden which allows you to use FREE water for swimming pool or for irrigation. When the house has not been inhabited for several months the main water is disconnected in order to avoid leakages especially in the winter when the pipes might freeze. It takes only couple of days the water to be switched back on if it was disconnected.
4. Almost all Bulgarian house properties have electricity. When you buy such property and especially when you decide to renovate it, it is always good idea to rewire it with modern cables and fuse box. This way you will have proper power supply system in the house that will prevent from fire and appliances damage.
5. It is absolute must to check the roof of the property after you purchase it. We have dedicated building team that deals with roofs. They will check the roof of your new house, will replace the cracked tiles when needed and will report if the roof needs more work in order to be safe.
6. If your new property is not inhabited for several months especially in the spring and summer the garden might become overgrown, in such cases it is good idea to contact us at least two weeks prior your arrival to send a team of gardeners to clean your garden for you. This is not something expensive but in some cases it might take several days if your garden is bigger than 1000 sq. meters.
