Pamporovo tops internet popularity poll
|

It may not be the best-known ski resort in Bulgaria, but Pamporovo's popularity among discerning skiiers has been reinforced by this recent poll. Bansko may have expected to finish top, as it is traditionally seen as the most popular resort. However Bansko finished a poor second, gaining less than 29% of the vote. The poll took place on the Sofia Echo property section during September & October 2007, and confirms Pamporovo's emergence as Bulgaria's favourite winter resort.When asked the question
Which Bulgarian winter resort do you prefer?, almost half of respondents opted for Pamporovo. Bansko was second. Borovetz was third, with the resort of Dobrinishte bringing up the rear.
Pamporovo 48.68%
Bansko 28.95%
Borovets 17.11%
Dobrinishte 5.26%
